Who we are

Magikx (“we”, “us”) is a Business OS platform operated from London, United Kingdom. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and what rights you have under UK data protection law, including the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

What we collect

• Account information: name, email, workspace details.
• Business profile data you provide: brand details, competitors, target audience, products and services.
• Social media data: when you connect a social account via our OAuth integration (Zernio), we receive access tokens and the content needed to post, schedule, and manage responses on your behalf. We do not receive or store your social media password.
• Content data: posts, images, and video you create or that Magikx generates for you.
• Usage data: how you use the product, for support and product improvement.

Why we process it (legal basis)

• Performance of a contract — to provide the core service you’ve signed up for.
• Legitimate interests — to improve the product and keep it secure.
• Consent — where required, e.g. optional marketing communications.

Who we share it with

We use third-party processors to run the service. We do not sell your data.

• Zernio — social media OAuth, publishing, and comment/response management.
• Anthropic, OpenAI, and Google — AI processing of your content requests (e.g. drafting posts, analysis).
• fal.ai — AI image and video generation.
• Supabase and Vercel — hosting and database infrastructure.
• Inngest — background job orchestration (e.g. running scheduled posts and processing incoming comments and reviews at the right time).
• Resend — transactional email (e.g. notifications, password resets).

International transfers

Some of our processors are based outside the UK/EEA. Where this happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses to ensure your data is protected to UK standards.

How long we keep it

We keep your data for as long as your account is active, and for a limited period after closure to meet legal obligations. You can request earlier deletion — see your rights below.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port your data, and to object to certain processing. Contact us using the details below to exercise any of these rights. You can also complain to the ICO (ico.org.uk) if you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your data.
